In 1966, Dan [aka DrumWild] found his passion for drumming. Since then, he has dedicated his life to drumming and music.

During his grade school years, he studied with a number of instructors. From 1971-1975, he took trumpet lessons from various school teachers. From 1975-1978, he began his drum studies with instructor and author John W. McMahan. He also studied with Richard Paul at the Paul-Mueller Studios in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1978 to 1984. Dan’s studies with Richard Paul continued into his time as a Percussion Arts major at Ball State University.

Leaving short of a degree, Dan then pursued a life of music, from his college band, to a bold move to Los Angeles in 1986.

Since 1986, Dan has been playing in a variety of bands on drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards. Today, he records drums and other instruments for Noodle Muffin [since 2002], and is the personal drummer for legendary comedian Fred Willard.

Now, Dan is offering lessons for beginners. His primary focus is on drums, although he can also get you started on guitar, bass, or keyboards.

Learn more about the lessons on this page, which will also provide information on how to contact Dan to book your time.
